1969 DODGE CHARGER 440 R/T - ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNIT

DODGE ENTHUSIASTS - GATHER AROUND!
This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a one-owner, highly documented, 41,000-mile, unrestored survivor - a legendary 1969 Dodge Charger 440 R/T!

We were contacted by the widow of the original owner, and what she told us sounds like something straight out of a movie - the kind of story car guys dream about. Her husband passed away in 2018 and had always hoped to pass the Charger down to one of their children or grandchildren. But after several years of family disputes over who would get it, she made the difficult decision to sell the car and split the proceeds instead.

A mutual friend connected us, and as soon as we saw the car, we knew this was something special. It had been sitting in a climate-controlled garage for the past three years, covered and protected. The late owner’s best friend - a fellow car enthusiast - had occasionally started and driven the car to keep it in running order until his own passing a few years ago. Since then, the Charger had remained untouched.

When we acquired it, the car didn’t run due to bad gas and a dead battery - but we were assured it did before it sat. Once in our shop, we drained the old fuel, installed a fresh battery, added clean gas - and she fired right up. Remarkably, everything seemed to function just as it should!

BODY & HISTORY
This car is a true survivor and retains:

100% original body panels, floors, trunk, and frame

90% original paint (only the passenger-side quarter panel was repainted after a shopping cart incident in 1979)

Original vinyl top, chrome, trim, glass, and weather-stripping - all in exceptional condition

Original interior in incredible, like-new condition

The Charger was Ziebarted at the dealer when new, as documented on the original Bill of Sale, and that likely contributed to its excellent preservation.

PERFORMANCE & MODIFICATIONS
In 1998, the original owner decided to transform his beloved Charger into a true street monster:

Ray Barton-built 557 c.i. aluminum head HEMI - dyno’d at 887 horsepower

Full race 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission

Dana 60 rear with 4.10 gears

Gear Vendors overdrive system for comfortable highway cruising

Upgraded suspension, front and rear, to handle the massive power

And here’s the best part - ALL the original drivetrain parts come with the car, including:

Original 440 c.i. / 375 h.p. engine

Original 727 automatic transmission

Original 8¾ rear end

Original K-frame, starter, radiator, and even the metal cut from the hood to install the scoop!
