Car Overview

This custom 1935 Chrysler Airflow C1 2-door coupe (one of 71 built in 1935) was a 4.5-year labor of love, passion, old-fashioned quality, and ingenuity built by the owner in his shop. The all-original-steel straight body is powered by a 6.1-liter HEMI engine with an Edelbrock supercharger and 545 RFE automatic transmission with a 9-inch Ford rear end. The car rides on a modified Heidt Mustang II front end with an Art Morrison rear clip and Wilwood brakes. It is finished off with Boyd Coddington wheels. The body, paint, and interior were completed by Armando's Custom Upholstery in San Jacinto, CA. The two-toned Ghost Green paint is a custom PPG mix. The interior features two-tone light cream and light tan leather with handmade chrome trim on the headliner and doors, Chrysler insignia on the rear seat, and fabricated 1935-era matching luggage disguising the gas tank under the rear trunk lid. Other features include power windows, a Vintage Air system, the original steering wheel, and a custom center console.
