Car Overview

The Guatemalan Hemi Cuda
One of the most unique and unusual Hemi Cudas known to exist
Built in at the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant on October 6, 1969
Sold in December 1970 to the original owner in Guatemala
The car’s early history is still a mystery, but it is rumored in the Mopar community that Chrysler kept this car for more than a year to help develop the new E-body for racing
The Hemi Cuda remained in Guatemala until the late-1980s, when it was brought back to America by a collector in Texas
The Texas collector sold the car to the current owner at the Mecum Belvidere Spring Classic auction in 2000
Fender tag shows Y09 export and H25 heater delete
Very rare fiberglass racing dash with metric speedometer in kilometers
Radio delete with block-off dash plate
This time capsule retains its early 1970s Blue-Gray Gunmetal paint job and professional fender flares
This car was not delivered to a dealership, but believed to have been sold directly by Chrysler to the first owner in Guatemala
Selected for the 426 Hemi Invitational at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in 2014
Featured in Mopar Collectors Guide
Odometer shows 86,235 kilometers or 53,584 miles
