Plymouth introduced the Barracuda in 1964 as a fastback with a massive rear window and a sporty interior. Based on the Valiant, it was Plymouthās way of dipping into the extraordinarily valuable youth market of the 1960s. The Barracuda evolved quickly, culminating into a definitive muscle car of the early 1970s, with the fuselage styling look that every Chrysler product would adopt. For 1970, the Hemi Cuda would prove to be one of the absolute quickest muscle cars available, crossing the quarter-mile in less time than a multitude of very capable competitors.
After a rotisserie restoration, this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda convertible emerged in Vitamin C Orange paint with a shaker hood and white hockey stick side stripes matching its white convertible top and interior. Rolling on proper Rallye wheels with white-letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, the Barracuda is powered by a 426 CI V-8 crate engine with an A833 4-speed manual transmission sending power to a Dana 60 rear axle. The interior is tempered with wood applique trim on the center console, door panels and dashboard, and is equipped with bucket seats, a center console, a Pistol Grip shifter, a vintage AM radio and a Rim Blow three-spoke steering wheel.
