Car Overview
Supercharged 5.7L HemiāPowered, 1969 Dodge Super BeeāBodied 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T 6-Speed
This 1969 Dodge Super Bee hardtop was modified by the sellerās company in 2024ā2025 by fitting its body over the underpinnings, powertrain, and interior of a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T. Power is supplied by a Vortech-supercharged 5.7-liter Hemi V8 linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in green with A12-package Super Bee styling features and a black vinyl-covered roof, the body has been widened by 2ā³ at the front end and 6ā³ at the rear. Equipment includes a modified Challenger SRT Demon hood, LED headlights, tinted glass, staggered-width Detroit Steel 20ā³ steel wheels, red-line tires, four-wheel disc brakes, and BC Racing coilovers. The interior houses black leather upholstery, front bucket seats, a center console, a pistol-grip shifter, Challenger gauges, a Stinger touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, air conditioning, and an NRG wood-rimmed steering wheel. The Super Bee and the donor Challenger were purchased by the sellerās family in late 2023. This Challenger-underpinned Super Bee is now offered by the seller on behalf of his mother with build photos, an information board, a dynamometer sheet, a clean Carfax report for the 2009 Challenger, and New York registration in the sellerās motherās name for the 1969 Super Bee.

To cover the Challenger chassis, the Coronet-based Super Bee body was widened by 1ā³ on both sides at the front end (2ā³ total) and 3ā³ at the rear (6ā³ total), according to the seller. The vehicle was painted Bright Green (F6) in November 2024. The bumpers are body color, and black Super Beeālogo stripes encircle the tail of the body. Exterior equipment includes quad LED headlights, a black grille, a black front air dam, tinted glass, dual side mirrors, simulated side scoops, rectangular side-marker lights, bright trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The black vinyl roof exhibits scuffs, and other blemishes are pictured in the gallery below.

The hood from a late-model Challenger SRT Demon was modified for installation onto the Super Bee body. The lift-off hood is finished in black and held in place by four securing pins. The body has been coated in paint-protective film.

Custom Detroit Steel 20ā³ steel wheels measuring 20Ć9ā³ in front and 20Ć11ā³ at the rear are mounted with 245/45 Arroyo front tires and 315/35 Atturo rear rubber. BC Racing coilovers have been fitted to the Challengerās independent suspension. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at all four corners, and the steering is also power-assisted.

The cabin features bolstered front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in black leather. Appointments include air conditioning, Nu-Relics power windows, a center console, a pistol-grip shifter, a Stinger touchscreen infotainment system, bright trim, and black carpeting.

An NRG Innovations wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Challenger-sourced instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows just under 44k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The odometer reading is said to reflect the 40k miles of the Challenger donor car plus the distance accumulated since completion of the build.

The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 was fitted with its Vortech supercharger under prior ownership before the foundational car was transformed in 2024 from Challenger to its current Super Bee form. MSD Blaster ignition coils are installed. Custom-fabricated panels trim the engine compartment.

A dynamometer sheet from October 2025 shows output figures of 511 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

The 2009 Challengerās six-speed manual transmission is linked to a limited-slip differential.

Additional images of the 1969 Super Bee before the project began are provided in the gallery. The seller notes that the car had been sitting in a field for 38 years before the project commenced.

The 2009 Challenger R/T donor car is pictured above, early in the build. That vehicle had the VIN 2B3LJ54T69H612063; its clean Carfax report is viewable in the photo gallery.

The image above shows the updated car after the main portion of the Super Bee body had been merged with the Challenger.

A color information board is included in the sale. (The seller notes that the board lists an erroneous width for the rear wheels, which are 11ā³ wide.)

The car is titled under the above tagās sequence WM23H9G290316, which is on the New York registration paperwork and is appropriate for a 1969 Dodge Super Bee hardtop that left the factory in Saint Louis, Missouri, with a 383ci V8 under the hood. The fender tag for the Super Bee was lost during the build, the seller tells us.
The vehicle is being sold on its New York registration, which serves as the ownership document in New York. The registration expired in March 2026.
