Car Overview
This 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T two-door hardtop is one of 162 examples built for the model year with a 426ci Hemi V8 mated to a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in Yellow over black vinyl, and equipment includes a limited-slip differential, Magnum 500āstyle 14ā³ wheels, red-line tires, drum brakes, power steering, front bucket seats, a center console, a tachometer, and a Retro Sound head unit. The current owner purchased the vehicle in 2024. PerTronix electronic ignition was subsequently installed, the carburetors were rebuilt, and the choke tubes, upper control arms, and speedometer cable were replaced. This Hemi Coronet is now offered on dealer consignment by the_patina_groupāa BaT Local Partnerāwith a clean North Carolina title.
Finished from the factory in Yellow (R), the car has been repainted once under prior ownership, the seller tells us. Exterior equipment includes quad headlights, hood louvers, a driver-side mirror, R/T badging, simulated quarter-panel vents, reverse lights, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers and trim.
Magnum 500āstyle 14ā³ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial tires measuring 215/70. The car was factory equipped with a Rallye suspension that included heavy-duty shocks as well as stiffer springs and torsion bars. Unassisted braking is provided by front and rear drums, and the steering is power assisted. The upper control arms lower ball joints, wheel cylinders, and front brake drums were replaced in October 2024.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl. A Retro Sound head unit is fitted in the dashboard and is linked to Kicker speakers in the dashboard and the rear parcel shelf, and other appointments include courtesy lighting, a heater/defroster, and front lap belts. The center console lid was repaired in October 2024. The seller states that the seat foam has deteriorated.
The three-spoke steering wheel has a horn ring and fronts a 150-mph horizontal speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator status. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer cable was replaced and the tachometer was installed in October 2024 and the gauges and steering-wheel horn contacts were repaired.
The 426ci Hemi V8 features a pair of four-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 425 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque. The carburetors were rebuilt in October 2024, the spark plugs and choke tubes were replaced, the oil was changed, and a PerTronix distributor and ignition coil were installed. The engine stamping is shown above.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a Sure Grip limited-slip differential.
