Kaulig Racing Ram 1500s Put in Strong Effort at FR8 208 in Echopark
The Kaulig Racing team brought its Ram 1500 race trucks to Echopark Speedway for the FR8 208 and finished the night with some solid results. Chandler Smith showed speed early, leading laps and staying competitive through the event. Ultimately Justin Haley brought home a top-10 finish, giving the team reason to feel confident as the season moves forward.
From the start of the race Smith showed that the Ram 1500 was capable of hanging with the leaders. He ran up front in the opening stages and impressed with how well the truck handled the tight confines of the quarter mile oval. Even though he did not end up in the top group at the finish, his performance sent a clear message that Kaulig Racing has trucks capable of running near the front when everything lines up.
Justin Haley had a strong performance of his own. He maneuvered through traffic and maintained a steady pace that helped him place inside the top ten by the time the checkered flag came out. For a track that can challenge even experienced drivers, that is an encouraging result and gives the team something to build on.
The race itself saw plenty of action as trucks battled for track position. The surface in Echopark Speedway can be tricky, and finding the right grip early often pays dividends later in the event. Kaulig Racing’s crew made adjustments throughout the night and both Haley and Smith were able to use those changes to stay in contention.
Fans at the speedway and watching at home saw Kaulig’s Ram 1500s run consistently despite heavy competition from the field. While neither truck found its way to victory lane, the showing was strong enough to demonstrate that the team’s program is moving in the right direction. With more races on the calendar, the experience gained here should help the crew refine setups and strategies in the weeks ahead.
For Haley the top-10 result was a welcome payoff after a long race where patience and consistency mattered just as much as speed. For Smith the night reinforced that he and his Ram are capable of fighting near the front when conditions are right.
Overall the FR8 208 at Echopark Speedway gave Kaulig Racing plenty to evaluate and a result that suggests better finishes could be in store as the season continues.
