Jeep Unveils the Wrangler Whitecap Special Edition as Part of Its Twelve 4 Twelve Celebration

Jeep has introduced the 2026 Wrangler Whitecap, a distinctive addition to its yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve series celebrating 85 years of off-road leadership. This special edition builds on the brand’s heritage with design cues that honor classic Jeep models while delivering modern capability and versatility to drivers who seek adventure both on and off the trail.

The Wrangler Whitecap is offered exclusively on the Sahara and Rubicon trims and draws inspiration from the iconic CJ-Universal models, especially those early Jeeps known for their Arctic White tops. Its design features a Bright White painted roof and matching grille surround, creating a bold two-tone appearance that distinguishes it from standard Wrangler versions. Complementing this look are unique decals, including a Bright White ā€œ1941ā€ side stripe on both trims and a Bright White hood decal on the Rubicon model.

While its visual updates are significant, the Whitecap remains mechanically true to the Wrangler platform. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and a 3.6-liter V-6, both paired with Jeep’s advanced Selec-Trac 4×4 systems that offer part-time or full-time capability depending on driver preferences and terrain conditions. This means the Whitecap delivers authentic Jeep performance without compromising ruggedness or reliability.

One notable design option is the Sky One-Touch power top finished with Bright White accents, giving owners greater open-air flexibility and further enhancing the special edition’s appearance. These styling touches pay homage to Jeep’s long history while presenting a fresh and adventurous look for prospective buyers.

Orders for the Wrangler Whitecap are now open, and the special-edition package starts with accessible pricing that varies by trim level. On the Rubicon X, the Whitecap package begins at an additional $495, while on the Sahara it adds about $2,690 when including the optional body-color hardtop. The Rubicon version with both the body-color roof and fender flares comes in around $3,185. These options allow enthusiasts to personalize their Wrangler while celebrating Jeep’s storied history.

Through the Twelve 4 Twelve program, Jeep continues to release limited-edition models that reflect different aspects of its legacy. The Whitecap’s combination of retro design elements and modern performance underscores the brand’s commitment to celebrating its heritage while appealing to adventurous drivers looking for a standout SUV experience.
