DESCRIPTION:Run to the Sun Car Show Brings Thousands of Classic Cars to Myrtle Beach\nEvery year classic car enthusiasts from across the country travel to Myrtle Beach for one of the most popular automotive events on the East Coast. The Run to the Sun Car Show has become a major tradition for collectors\, builders\, and fans who enjoy vintage cars and trucks. \nThe 37th Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show will take place March 19 through March 21\, 2026 at the former Myrtle Square Mall located at 2501 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach\, South Carolina. The three day event runs daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and draws thousands of participants and spectators each year. \nWith thousands of classic vehicles\, celebrity guests\, vendors\, and charity fundraising efforts\, the show has become one of the largest independent car shows in the Southeast. \nOne of the Largest Classic Car Shows on the East Coast\nRun to the Sun has grown significantly since it first started more than three decades ago. Today the event features over 3\,200 classic cars and trucks displayed across roughly 56 acres\, making it one of the biggest classic car gatherings in the region. \nOnly vehicles from the 1989 model year or older are allowed to participate. This keeps the show focused on vintage vehicles\, street rods\, and restored classics that represent several generations of automotive history. \nCar owners from more than 28 states travel to Myrtle Beach to showcase their vehicles\, turning the event into a massive celebration of classic car culture. \nRegistration and Entry Rules\nVehicle registration for the show opens online starting September 1\, 2025. Organizers strongly encourage early registration because the show has sold out to vehicle participants for the past fourteen years. \nEach household is limited to registering three vehicles and all entries must meet the rule requiring the vehicle to be 1989 or older. Registrations cannot be transferred\, and vehicles that take up more than one parking space must purchase additional entries. \nFor participants who register before February 1\, event packets are mailed ahead of time. Late registrations must pick up their packets in Myrtle Beach before the show begins. \nVendors\, Awards and Special Displays\nIn addition to the massive display of classic vehicles\, the Run to the Sun Car Show also features around 150 vendors and sponsors selling automotive parts\, collectibles\, merchandise\, and apparel. \nMore than 25 awards are presented during the event including \nGoodguys AwardsNSRA PicksSponsor PicksLadies Choice Awards \nOne vehicle is also selected as the Run to the Sun Car and Truck of the Year\, which earns a special plaque and recognition during the event. \nCelebrity guests are also a major part of the event each year. For 2026\, actress Catherine Bach\, known for playing Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard\, will attend the show for fan meet and greet opportunities. \nVisitors will also see special display vehicles including themed movie cars and unique custom builds. \nSupporting Important Charities\nBeyond the cars and entertainment\, the Run to the Sun Car Show has built a strong reputation for supporting charitable causes.
